Monarcas Academy Aztec Warriors
U15 boys - FINALIST
Congratulations to our SMFC Teams who traveled to Las Vegas this past weekend to the Las Vegas Mayors
Cup International Showcase and represented our Club well. Our Club sent 3 teams to this event and all of
them played great soccer. SMFC Barca won the U16 Championship Adidas East Division of this event. SMFC
Aztec Warriors played in their 4th consecutive Championship game of the top division of this event but fell
short of the grand prize but proved once again that they are among the elite teams in the Nation in their age
group. SMFC Premier played well in the top flight of the U16 division but did not advance out of group play but
still showed that they can play with the best in the Nation.
Congratulations to the teams and coaches and thank you to all the parents and family that came out to Las
Vegas to support our teams!
Monarcas Academy 2000 wins 2013 Norcal State Championship

Congratulations to our U12 boys team SMFC 2000 for their recent win in the recent Norcal State Cup. The team
had an amazing run that included playing with exactly 11 players which is pretty amazing and shows the heart
and determination of this group of boys. The Final was played vs Santa Cruz Revolution and after trailing 1-0
the boys came back to tie  the game and played a double overtime period before winning the game in penalty
kicks. Congratulations to the boys and coaches for representing our Club well and bringing to Stockton another

success and we wish you the best of luck in the future.
The NorCal NPL serves as the National Premier Leagues (NPL) Division of the NorCal Premier League. The NorCal Premier
League NPL Division is one of 11 leagues across the United States that are part of the NPL, which has been created to provide a
national developmental platform with the highest level of competition in given geographic areas, and to elevate and change the
competitive youth soccer landscape based upon fundamental principles in US Club Soccer’s 10-year vision.
Stockton Monarcas FC in partnership with the San Jose EarthQuakes and Wells Fargo Bank recently awarded several scholarships to Club members who showed up
with the Earthquakes to provide a donation in the amount of $250 for every Earthquakes goal scored this Season (home and away). The money raised will be donated
to local youth soccer and athletic department programs. Our Club received a donation of $750 dollars from the $18,000 donated to the Earthquakes by Wells Fargo
which was then distributed to many non-profit organizations that are partners with the Earthquakes. Our Club then matched that donation and awarded $1,500 in
scholarships to players who were chosen by their coaches for having demonstrated outstanding sportsmanship, discipline, commitment, academic performance and
ability on the field. The players that received scholarships are as follows:

Stockton Monarcas and Central Valley Soccer League join forces to take soccer to the next level
in our Region. The 2 powerhouse Clubs have partnered to provide soccer players with the
most comprehensive soccer program in our area starting at under 6 for boys and girls under
the Central Valley Soccer League as well as participating with our Monarcas Academy program
that boasts many State and Regional Champions along with participation by the most talented
players in programs such as the US Youth National Team Player Pool. The Academy teams
participate at the highest level in youth soccer including the top tournaments in the Nation.
Both clubs have an extensive record of success and creating talented soccer players. Central
Valley League President Alfredo Sanchez and Monarcas Club President Benjamin Gonzalez
worked on this plan for many years and have worked together since the inception of Stockton
Monarcas FC which is now being renamed to Central Valley Monarcas Academy to reflect the
new union between these 2 powerhouse Clubs. This new union makes this program one of
the largest in Northern California with a combined total of over 110 teams between our
Development and Academy Teams.
Future inclusion in the United States Soccer Federation Academy system is part of our plans.
With so much talent being developed and the continued success of our teams at a Regional
and National level we see a bright future ahead for youth soccer in our Central Valley and
Northern California. Please check the link below to visit the web site for the Central Valley Youth
Soccer League for more information:
